Welcome to Monroe Street Fine Arts Center!
Monroe Street Fine Arts Center is a community school of the arts, primarily for children ages toddler through teens (adults welcome, too!) The Arts Center is a warm and friendly place, alive with the sounds of music-making and the energy of art-making. Our teachers are phenomenal musicians and artists in their own right, dedicated to nurturing talent in others. Altogether, MSFAC teachers, students and their families create a special community of individuals, developing, sharing and appreciating artistic expression.

Years of Service: In operation since 1997, in the same location
Mission: To teach, share and inspire through the arts
Offering: High-quality instruction in music (piano, violin, cello, voice, guitar) and art (including drawing, painting, photography, printmaking)
Serving: 320 private music students (piano, violin, cello, voice, guitar); more than 500 students in group art classes for toddlers, preschoolers and homeschoolers, plus afterschool programs, Saturday workshops and summer art camps
Location: Madison’s near west side in the dynamic Dudgeon-Monroe neighborhood, near Edgewood College; ample parking; bus routes 3, 19 and 58
Scholarships: Financial assistance is available for families in need.
Faculty: 20 music instructors, 7 art instructors: all are practicing musicians and artists with, at minimum, a bachelor’s degree and significant teaching experience
Volunteers: Community volunteers plus interns from Edgewood College
Affiliations: ArtsWisconsin, Monroe Street Merchant’s Association
Fundraising Events: Claire Aubrey Roberts Scholarship Fund Event, Arty Gras! MSFAC’s annual art auction
